1. Information We Collect

Voices is designed to collect as little information as possible. The only personal information we require is your phone number, which is used to authenticate your account and provision the service. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers unless you voluntarily provide them.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your credit card details or billing address on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your phone number is used solely to:

  • Authenticate your account
  • Provision and deliver the Voices service
  • Route calls and messages to your business number

That's it. We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

3. Data We Do Not Retain

By default, Voices does not retain your data. Specifically:

  • Call audio is never recorded or stored by us
  • Message content is transmitted in real time and not stored on our servers after delivery
  • Call logs and message metadata are not retained after the session ends
  • We do not build usage profiles or analytics histories tied to your account

If you choose to enable optional features such as voicemail or call history, that data is stored only because you opted in and can be deleted by you at any time through the app.

4. Information Sharing

Your data is yours. We do not sell, rent, trade, distribute, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party for any reason — not for marketing, not for analytics, not for profit, and not under any affiliate or partner arrangement. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. The only exceptions are the narrow operational necessities listed below:

  • Telecommunications providers strictly necessary to route your calls and messages (they receive only the minimum data required for routing)
  • Our payment processor (Stripe) if you subscribe to a paid plan
  • Law enforcement or government authorities, but only when compelled by a valid legal order such as a court order or subpoena

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

5. Data Security

All communications are encrypted in transit. Your calls can be end-to-end encrypted when both parties use the Voices app, meaning even we cannot access the content. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the minimal data we do handle.

6. Data Retention

We retain only your phone number for as long as your account is active. We do not retain call content, message content, call logs, or usage data unless you have explicitly enabled features that require storage (such as voicemail). Any user-enabled stored data can be deleted by you at any time. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by a specific legal obligation.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Know exactly what data we hold about you (it's your phone number)
  • Delete any user-stored data (voicemail, call history) at any time through the app
  • Delete your account entirely, which removes all data we hold
  • Export your data in a portable format

8. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses only essential cookies required to maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising pixels.

9. Children's Privacy

Voices is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the service. Continued use of Voices after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
